YBCO-Tapes

The Y-HTS group, originating from the former R&D unit of Zentrum fuer Funktionswerkstoffe and University of Goettingen, develops and produces YBCO coated conductors since 1991.

YBCO coated conductors are able to carry current densities of abt. 250 times higher than copper.

Bruker HTS focuses on YBCO coated tapes with the highest quality available in the world.  This relates in a spectrum of different types of YBCO coated tapes, optimized for application needs in lengths up to 40 m. In addition, one of Bruker HTS main goals are custom made coated tapes, especially designed and manufactured for special applications. All YBCO coated conductors are based on Bruker HTS stainless steel substrate tapes exhibiting a favorable mechanical behavior and are provided with a reliable shunt/protection layer.
