Cryogenic Design
The cryogenic design of superconducting magnets is performed comprising cryostat designs for low cryogen consumption and cryogen supply system designs for bath cooling, by integration of multi-stage cryo-coolers for recondensing or even cryogen-free operation:
- Thermal analysis with various heat conducting codes based on state-of-the-art data for metallic materials, organic materials and compound materials
- High-Tc material for current leads
Bath-cooled magnets:
- Spectrometer Magnets Q2/Q3 Quadrupoles for CEBAF, USA
- 118 GHz / 140 GHz Gyrotron Magnets
Magnets with integrated cryo-coolers for recondensing of helium / shield cooling:
- ESRF Wavelength Shifter, 5T
- BESSY Wavelength Shifter, 6T
- 20 Pole Wiggler for DELTA
- Magnets for industrial processing
Cryogen-free magnets:
- Wide bore solenoids
- Multipole Mini-Gap Undulators
- Magnets for industrial processing
