RI Research Instruments GmbH (RI) has been established to continue and expand the RF Accelerator and Special Products business of ACCEL Instruments GmbH in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany, acquired by Bruker Advanced Supercon, Inc. from Varian Medical Systems, Inc. on April 1, 2009. RI is operating the business together with certain key managers who are holding a strong minority shareholding position, and is relying on a strong and ambitious project management, engineering and manufacturing team of some 85 people with more than 1000 man-years of accumulated knowhow. With our special manufacturing capabilities which includes electron beam welding, high temperature vacuum brazing, chemical surface treat-ment, and class 10 cleanroom assembly, RI is serving worldwide customers in physics, medical, nuclear energy and industry.
